Morgane and Edward’s Aynhoe Park Wedding

Aynhoe Park

This year I was lucky enough to shoot at one of my favourite wedding venues Aynhoe Park, not one but three times. If you follow my posts regularly you will know that I have a soft spot for this place. As much as I love shooting there because it’s so damn cool, I always tell everyone that it is the people that make the day special. It’s always about the people. When I met Morgane and Edward, I knew this wedding would be one to remember, and I wasn’t mistaken. What a celebration we had!

We had typical British weather to start the day, gloomy and grey with a little drizzle. As the day went by it brightened up and we ended up with a stunning sunset for the portraits. I’m totally obsessed with finding great light that I actually don’t mind shooting on grey days. The sunsets are my thing, I love chasing that yellow happy light and create beautiful photos with it.

One of the things that Morgane and Ed have in common is their love for Japan, which was their obvious choice of honeymoon destination. As the venue was being set up I found out that Morgane had spent days making over a thousand paper origamis to decorate the reception room. It looked incredible with the flower set up and created such a unique feel. I was very impressed with the amount of patience this must have taken, a thousand origamis!

The speeches were outside as the sun was setting, pure magic. It literally could not have been any better! Laughter, happy tears and lots of hugs, just as it should be. Then there was the party, the dance floor stayed full all evening and from what I heard, the after party in the basement was pretty good too. I missed that bit.

Here are my favourite moments from this special wedding, enjoy!
