What an incredible start to the wedding season I had this year! It has long been a dream of mine to shoot at Aynhoe Park, so I was incredibly excited when Ryan and Candice asked me to take their wedding pictures.
Grade I listed Aynhoe Park sits proudly on 250 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside. It’s elegant, historic, and filled with character- the perfect place for a wedding to remember! What sets Aynhoe Park apart from other south-east wedding venues is not only the magnificence of the building and grounds, which are exceptionally well kept, or the amazing staff, but the diversity and character of the collections it holds. It is one of the coolest venues I have ever been to, with rooms brimming with eccentric collections of unique items. It is the kind of place you could explore for years and still find something different and interesting.
I was able to explore the Capability Brown designed grounds and identify the best photo locations before catching up separately with the bride and groom while they got ready. The ceremony took place in the Orangery, with the aisle laid out with white petals. Candice’s bridesmaids looked stunning in dresses of deep plum that were accented beautifully by white crowns made from tiny flowers. Any trace of Ryan’s nerves vanished when he saw his bride at the top of the aisle, already teary with emotion.
After the “I dos” I whisked Ryan and Candice away for some relaxed couples shots. You can see from the wedding photos that there was no shortage of interesting backdrops. With the couple and group shots out of the way it was time to party – and what a party it was! Candice and Ryan pulled off the perfect blend of style and personality with an event that looked sensational but felt very much “them”.
A big thank you goes to my good friend Aga Tomaszek for helping out as a second photographer and capturing some awesome moments. Thanks also to Ryan and Candice for choosing Voyteck Photography to be your reportage wedding photographer, and for giving me the opportunity to tick one off my wedding venue bucket list. Congratulations, and enjoy your photos!
